De Soto Bend Snow Geese Migration and Riverboat Bertram

Lunch will be at Aunt B's Restaurant in Walnut Antique City and there will be a little time to stroll through the antique shops. The steamboat Bertrand was carrying cargo via of the Missouri River to Virginia City, Montana Territory when it hit a snag and sank on April 1, 1865. In 1965 half of its cargo, which is the largest intact collection of Civil War-era artifacts in the U.S. was recovered. The wildlife refuge was established for the purpose of providing migrating birds a place to rest. Last year 700,000 snow geese filled the sky and covered the water as they migrated. $99 with a $25 deposit holds your seat.
Marian Ave. Baptist Church Live Animal Christmas Production

This musical theatrical production using Broadway type equipment is presented in the church's auditorium and involves over 300 community members and a vast array of live animals such as a camel, donkey, horse, sheep, etc. The camel comes up the same steps as you. The production takes you from the opening scene through Christ's birth to His glorious resurrection. $79 provides you with transportation, lunch at Pizza Ranch in Sigourney, driver tip and a donation for the production. On the way out to Virginia Beach we'll be visiting the Paducah Flood Wall, the Billy Graham Library, and the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Also included will be the Festival Park Living History Museum, replica of the sailing ship the Elizabeth II, Discovery Museum to learn about the famous Lost Colony, Wright Brothers Monument and National Park, Kitty Hawk, Wild Horse Tour in Corolla, Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Virginia Beach, Cape Charles, Cherry Stone Aqua farm that raises oysters and clams, Norfolk for the fantastic International Tattoo with hundreds of performers from around the world, Marine Museum and the Semper Fidelis Memorial Park. Baseball I - Twin Cities and Milwaukee

The Twins will be playing the Baltimore Orioles in an afternoon game on the 20th then the next morning we head down the Interstate to Milwaukee for an afternoon game between the Brewers and the Yankees. Baseball 2 - Kansas City and St. Louis

In the afternoon we'll visit the Negro Baseball Hall of Fame before going to the evening game between the Royals and the Oakland A's. We lodge in Kansas City then head for St. Louis stopping at Warm Springs Ranch where the Clydesdales are raised that are used in the Budwiser eight horse hitch. We'll take in the Cardinals and Cubs game and lodge in St. Louis. On the way home we'll enjoy a luncheon cruise on the Mississippi in Hannibal. Hopefully we will hit peak color time as we board the Amtrak Downeaster to Maine, then board our bus for a tour of coastal villages of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, sandy beaches, rocky coastlines, go past the George Bush Estate, Dock Square, Perkins Cove, enjoy a lobster bake with sing-a-long, entertainment, ride the Conway Scenic Railway, tour through the White mountains, take a Gondola ride to the summit of the Loon Mountains, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Winnipesauke by the oldest summer resort in America, visit the Wright Museum, ride the rails along Lake Winnipesauke while turkey is carved at your table along with all the trimmings on the Winnipesauke Railroad Turkey Dinner Train, visit Cape Cod, Whydah pirate Museum, Provincetown, National Seashore Visitor's Center, Pilgrims' first landing and location of Mayflower Compact signing, Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum, Chatham Light, Atwood House Museum, Hyannis and Sandwich and hear stories of the Puritans, Quakers, Shawme, Dexter Grist Mill, Hoxie House and the First Church of Christ. $2,300 per person for a double room. $200 deposit holds your seat. This tour will give a new twist to our usual Ark Encounters. We go to Indianapolis the first day and then head to the Creation Museum on day two. That evening we have dinner at Hillforest Mansion, a splendid Victorian Mansion that will be decorated in all of its Christmas glory. The next morning we go to the Ark. We will leave around 3:00 p.m. and head west to Evansville, IN where we have dinner at the Amish Buffet. On day four we head for Branson arriving in time for the musical "Noah." Day five will be a day in Branson beginning with a tour and lunch at Dogwood Canyon followed by an afternoon show with Daniel O'Donnell. Our evening show will be with the Dutton Family. On the way home we will stop in Sedalia for lunch at Kehdes Barbeque in the antique railroad dining car followed by a stop at the Miller Pecan Farm for a little shopping.
